Students will learn about training and prevention of metabolic syndrome through diet and exercise in this course. Designed to provide reasonable accommodations in resistance training, to students with disabilities. Exercises emphasize muscular strength, muscular endurance, and flexibility. Additional topics will include: safety considerations, resistance training principles, and the role of exercise in overall wellness. Prerequisite: Student must have their personal physician's approval to take this course and must be registered with the DSRC. | ||||
